Objectives and fields of activity

The principal objectives of the Sports Council are :

• To promote sporting activities
• To maintain links with sports clubs
• To manage the facilities
• To collaborate in the organisation of sports events

The Sports Council is involved in particular in the following areas:

• The St-Léonard Stadium Committee
• The Committee for Sports in the Town of Fribourg
• Swiss Association of Sports Councils (holder of Presidency from 2006 to 2008)
• Swiss Association of Sports Councils in French-speaking Switzerland and Ticino (holder of Presidency from 2006 to 2008)
• Association of swimming pool owners in French-speaking Switzerland and Ticino
• Association of owners of artificial ice rinks in French-speaking Switzerland and Ticino
• Bains de la Motta SA, presidency and secretariat
• St-Léonard Sports Facility Foundation
